FGSR Research Ethics Training Requirements
Ethics and academic integrity training is mandatory for all newly admitted University of Alberta graduate students who started their program on or after 1 September 2004.
Each student is normally expected to complete the equivalent of at least eight (8) hours of structured academic activity to meet this requirement.
This requirement is met in the Department of History and Classics in the following manner:

- three sessions (equivalent to three hours training) of the mandatory HIST 602/CLASS 501 devoted to ethics issues.
The GET course is available on the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research website. NOTE: After completing the GET course, students are to print their results and give them to the Graduate Secretary.
